Well long story short... My 8 month old beardie started getting picky with food, he wasn't eating as much as usual, and unfortunately we were moving and had to move him to a new cage. We did this and he lost it, clawing always and refusing to eat. But I heard from many this is normal with big...
Thanks, yeah it's just weird because he never did it in his old terrarium, and he tires himself out in half a day and falls asleep lol. I tried covering the front. He knew I was tricking him....
Hoping the next few days it gets better! Picky buggers!
Moved my beardie to a new terrarium and he absolutely hates it! He constantly for hours runs and scratches at the front door and the second you open it he jumps out. He is relentless and won't stop, it's been three days.
Anyone else experience this extreme resistance to change? Will he...
I know the t5 bulbs have to be replaced every year for effective uvb. But let's say I used it for 6 months. Then left it for a year and went to use it again would it still have 6 months of use? Does the uvb wear out with time or use?
So I want to use a thermostat on my basking/heat bulb to keep the heat steady. The problem is most thermostats shut on and off the power when it's too hot. This means the bulb will be going on and off which is no good.
Some thermostats are proportional which will keep the light on but just dim...
I'm moving and my massive glass tank is too much so I'm switching to pvc. I found someone selling a vision pvc tank. 36x18x16.
I attached a photo. Seems there is some sort of vent I can probably put a uvb tube there but where the heck do I put a basking bulb. It's only 16 high... Can it be...
I'm having trouble keeping crickets, I know for my cresties I have a terrarium with bio active soil, bugs and such so it decomposes everything naturally! Anyone do this with their crickets?
I am thinking the crickets would last way longer and I wouldn't have to clean as often.
Haha he better not be interested in eating it! He must be territorial which is so strange. I figured if he was territorial he would have flared the beard. But the opening of the mouth was cool.
So I took my crested gecko out and walked past my bearded dragons cage and the dragon went insane! He was scratching and running around the front of the terrarium opening his mouth and licking the window. He would not settle down! But interesting enough his beard didn't get black.
So do...
Hi all,
I have a 10 gallon and 120 gallon terrarium and a 2 month beardie. You can see the issue here ha! Can I house the beardie in the 120 or will the size stress him out? I am thinking as long as heating and lighting is correct and I feed him in a dish so he can find crickets then he will be...
So new beardie owner here! My juvenile is just a ball of fun but as a new owner there are so many things on the market for beardies.
I know they need calcium dust daily. But most come with d3. Is that ok daily?
Is it better to get a calcium dust with an array of vitamins or should vitamins...
