Hey Mungi I went to check out your bro and the link didnt work?? I dont know if you knew or not so just thought of telling you. I figured you did. But its better be safe then sorry.

Morning BlackClaw83! might have been a momentary glitch...I did go and chek his cam and all appears to be working as should be;-) His hours are changing being available currently from 830am to 830pm and will gradually be moved back a bit more as we approach the Fall Time..Mungi is very sensitive to the Sun he sees thru the window on the other side of the room from his enclosure and tends to set "his schedule" by that light regardless of the lights in his house..lol;-)
Thanks for the headsup either way and please do let us know anytime you are having issue viewing his feed and...
Enjoy Your Day

@blackclaw83...Unfortunately Sir Galen the Great decided to be snobbish for the cam and would rarely show himself so for the time being we removed his cam from his enclosure until we can come to a more productive contract negotiations with him..lol
If you are looking for another webcam feed to view in the meantime, Kat has set up a new one worth checking out:D

So the last few days I've been tuning in to check in on the gentle giant and today, just now in fact, I was talking to my 6 year old nephew, Harley, and I decided to show him. While watching Harley said 'Mungi, Mungi were over here!' and then continued to tap the screen to try and draw his attention :D Soooo very cute if I say so myself. I'm looking forward to later tonight I have a dinner date with Mungi  lol

@Kaleesi :D Im happy that you and your Nephew checked in on Mungi...btw he is very aware of the Camera...there is a small red light above the lens that pops on when someone tunes in and there is a ding sound that he hears as well..lol..he has been being a lazy dragon for the past couple or so weeks but is becoming more active again in the last few days..has been off of food too but starting to eat again as well;-) Mungi will alot of times come off his roost when he hears the cam and come right up to it...and he loves having guests...especially for dinner!

Enjoy the day and we are looking forward to those new In the Garden pics:D

lol...next live feeding time will tomorrow nite between 7-730pm eastern...guess that would be 11-1130 your time...We don't feed him less than an hour before his lights out...Also we have started the gradual process of moving his lights on and lights off times back so that when the time change here comes on November 4th it wont effect him..We have to work with the Season changes because in the room his enclosure is located there is a set of french doors across the room and he sees the Sun up and Sun down cycles thru that so we try to match those as close as we can.;-)

Off topic but I was curious that I saw in another thread that when you got Ozzy he was 100% vegetarian and then you mentioned him being frightened by locusts...I got the impression that perhaps you feed him live prey..if so I would be curious to know what you do feed him. We rescued Razr awhile back and have him on a strict vegetarian diet but I have read many reports in the last few months discussing that feeding live prey is actually not a bad thing and that newer research is finding that they are in the wild insect eaters..especially when young and that it is actually when they get older that they become vegetarian. Our last Iggy we made all the mistakes with but he lived to be a month short of 10 years, was 5 1/2 feet long and never seemed to be sick or anything but happy and he ate a huge variety of foods including Chicken and Cat and Monkey Chow. We didnt do our research until after and then when we started reading the controversies over diets so when we rescued Razr kept him strict vegetarian..He is still young but when we got him he hadnt had a good start in life and was already badly stunted and in fact didn'touch food for almost two months...we have no idea how he survived really and spent a lot of time and a lot of money with our vet...to this day he is still stunted but slowly growing and still only picks at his food really..Our first Iggy ate like a horse and would bang on the glass doors of his enclosure when it was close to feeding time..lol
Anyway, let me know what you feed Ozzy because he is absolutely beautiful so you are doing something right;-)
Have a Great Evening!!:D

@Mungi It's a long story about Oz, she was juvenile when she came to us. My boyfriends brother took her from his friend as he couldn't provide a home any more. So while she's in my brother in-laws care he just left her to rot and I had no idea about lizards, anyway as I started to read up on iguana's I started to provide basic care. It gets to her being around 3 years old and EVERYBODY thought she was a male. I went to 5 different vets and each told me she was male and just a bit cranky but I knew her well enough to know this was something more! I finally find my vet the best vet in the area in my opinion and he tells me at first glance he's a she. I explain s he's off her food and acting 'strange' so he offers me an xray for her. He shows me them and she had 33 eggs that have become bound. We induce her straight away and she starts laying. She developed anorexia and was very poorly so I was feeding her with a syringe for a while. As she started to get better she wasn't very interested in the vegetarian diet and I was about to bring Louie home so I decide without very much research to try her with bugs and see if it sparks her interest. She still has a 90% vegetarian diet but she can see Louie being fed and head buts her viv so she has large Locust now and again purely because they helped her gain so much strength after the clutch. After that agonizing ordeal I swore all my females would be sterilized I couldn't go through that again. Watching a tiny little animal suffer so badly and not really be able to help is not for me. The pain in her eyes almost killed me to see.

And a quick note about the vet...The babies went on Friday they are in tip top shape :D Spikey's tale is no cause for concern the vet thinks he will just have a kink in the bottom for a while and hopefully it will straighten out as he grows :D

@khaleesi..AWESOME news about the babies and also that Spikey's tail may just end up with a "battle scar" instead of him loosing it:)
I can identify with your story of Oz..Razr was in horrible shape when we first got him too...was being housed in a filthy 10 gallon tank with only a 25 watt incandescent soft white lightbulb...poor thing was clinging to the wire top of the tank trying to get as close to the light and what little warmth it offered. The folks that had him didnt have a clue and were feeding him whole leaves of lettuce food...his only "food". They were just wanting to "get rid of him" because he was "the meanest thing they had ever seen"...smh...poor fella was not mean at all but starving to death and cold..I tend to be a lil cranky to if Im cold and hungry..lol
We got him set up initially in a 55 gallon tank that we had on hand and got him some real light and warmth and the first bowl of proper salad we offered that first day he dove straight in and gobbled it down along with most of a second bowl. He was really pathetic..not much more than scales n bones really. We are very fortunate in that our vet is not just a regular vet but also a reptile specialist and she has also had iguanas most of her life..she currently has 4 of them at her home. We got Razr in to her and found that he was of course riddled with worms and it was touch and go during the period she was trying to rid him of them because he was so weak that the worming medicine was almost too much for him.
Anyway he did make it thru but we had to syringe feed him as well because all the wormer meds had killed his appetite completely..he also would not bask and we would have to physically move him to the basking spot or else he would just lay on the enclosure floor on the cool side. He wouldnt eat and wouldnt sleep..just lay there and stare..smh..it was a very rough time but he made it thru and slowly began to pick at his food again. He is very finicky and querky about eating. I call him a grazer cause he will go back to his food dish all thru the day and pick at it but never really gobble. He also will not eat if anyone is in the room and in fact if you place his food dish in his enclosure and stick around too long he will trash his house in a temper trantrum soI have learned to put his dish inside and walk away..lol..He is handlable but only by me and he puts on the Big Bad Dragon act..its really hilarious..he will quiver his tail but never really whips if I am in range for an actual strike and he will puff up and throw out his his dewlap and gape his mouth wide but has never once even tried to bite..as soon as I pick him up tho he chills right out..lol...just a Big Bluffing Dragon not a Big Bad Dragon at all:D
As I mentioned he is still terribly stunted but other than that he is heathy so we will just continue to work with him and love him and hope that eventually he will catch up size wise:)
Thanks for the reply and Enjoy your day today for sure!!

I can relate to your story I have had a tough time adjusting to lizards that are not scared of humans its so sad that people buy reptiles because of their appearance but know nothing in the way of proper care or dietary requirements!

Well, I watched for a little while, until time out. He's looking great and very relaxed.
If the stream "times out" just refresh your screen and it will keep going..there is a default setting in the software that causes a time out after 5 minutes and have yet to figure out how to lengthen that...for some reason changing doen't stick and it will revert to the default after a short period of time on it's own..something in the scripting I'm sure but I haven't found it YET..lol!:)

Great, thanks for the info. I was watching with my two five year old grandsons and they were a little sad. So now I know what to do.

BTW, they love Mungi... :)
