Unfortunately short of hacking his account to get his info or asking him (which I would bet he wouldn't talk) there's nothing else you can do. At the very least if people flag his videos enough he won't have reason to make these horrible videos.

There is no way to contact Youtube to get his information??

Animal cruelty laws will be governed by his state. Cruelty depicted by the terminology of acts intending harm for purposes other than self defense, food or survival.

See his argument?

Believe me...........I don't disagree. But you pick a battle you can't win. His identity is protected by youtube

Not at all. Unless he is building a bomb and recording it on youtube they won't do anything. Half of the people on youtube don't use real names locations or emails anyway so it would be a lost cause.

I was told by an expert in retile laws that it would be cruelty in each and every U.S. state.

Then I suppose I have a new request. If any of you would like to help that would be cool. I will be spending my free time for the forseable future flagging this video and others of abuse/cruelty from this guy until it is removed at the very least.
Please feel fre to repeatedly flag it as well if you are bothered by this...as opposed to doing nothing.
TIA!

Even if it were easily considered animal cruelty, how would you get this person's information? How do you know the dragon in the video isn't already dead?

the US doesn't have laws specifically governing the keeping, feeding, housing or care of reptiles other than those deemed "hot", protected, endangered or otherwise sanctioned, unless they've come about here recently. This is the main disconnection between our hobby, and the "socialist" community. We see things a certain way, entailing that this should be rule, or that should be rule. They simply don't want involved.

well I'm an IT guy and know that it is possible to trace ip addresses linked to posting, anonymous or not such as was the case with that Jessie Slaughter girl aka "kerligirl13" on youtube. Hackers from 4chan.org found all her personal info through her social networking accounts to include her home phone and address. She received thousands of prank calls after the info was posted publicly on the web by hackers. So, is it possible to trace....yes, entirely legal... well maybe not.

Of course it's possible but not really worth putting yourself on the line for it. It's a sad thing that's happening but there isn't much we can do about it.

The thought was to try, I am not the type of person to see a wrong and just keep on moving by justufying it saying I can't do anything....especially with helpless people and animals.

I think the point Candice is trying to make is that this is way bigger than one dude on you tube. There are hundreds, thousands of these kinds of videos on there. To go after one, you have to go after them all.
Instead of trying to change the person involved, their actions, their behavior, and their narcissistic bragging rights...........try pushing your own state to make up and enforce laws protecting the animals we keep. Have those items written by those that have kept dragons in this country since they arrived and are up to date on things, yet don't overlook the value of yesterday. Get involved on a local step first, before going global.

You've got the right idea, and a good concept. But you can't easily start at the top of the ladder. there'd be no place to work your way up to.

I respectfully disagree, you can only take one case at a time and this teenager's reckless, harmful and mailicious acts are hardly the top of the ladder...I'd even say this is botttom rung compared to getting laws passed. You have noticed are govt. isn't very productive .

Please lets not do the "our government this and that" ok. I do not see you running to live in Russia or China so you obviously like our Government enough to live here and enjoy the freedoms of being an american.

Sorry I am not going to continue that line of thought it just erks me a bit when people complain about "the man" lol.

our gov't has no speedy desire to enact laws to protect reptiles in captivity from poor conditions.
The top of the ladder being a vast majority of internet users believing this is kewl, awesome and even appealing. The majority falls with them, not us.

I do seriously agree with how offending this is to a reptile keeper and animal lover. I sympathize with you, and really wish there was control for things like this. If our gov't isn't going to control how people treat their animals (the frog, the gecko, ect) then at least don't let them publicize it. I feel it gives all good reptile keepers a bad taste in their mouth, and the public a bad look at us.

But honestly, he's broke no written law, and our opinions on his practices are just that.........opinions.

Your post is implying that I didn't do anything. I may be taking it wrong but I am pretty offended if that is indeed what you are implying considering I did try to do something but there is only so much one can legally do. I flag videos when I see things like that, PM the person calmly explain why this should not be done and I make awareness videos for all to see on youtube and many other places. I join every forum I can to promote the well being of all animals scaly and furry so don't think I sit back and do nothing because it is far from the truth.

He isn't a teen according to his profile. He is 27 years old which is old enough to know right and wrong. As much as I hate to say it, there is much worse animal abuse being posted on youtube than this monster's video.

Never my intention and your post is the only one going off topic. Never said anything about "the man" as you say or talked bad about our country or complained about our country. It is patriotic to question your govt. and leaders.

Back to topic, I stand by my respectful disagreement. As many others have today as I see it is getting flagged and posted on continuously.

Well, you may be right....but an authority I talked with said this was animal cruelty by the books in every state....I relaize he could be wrong as well.
