Megay Issue..

Lol, dont blame urself!

You wont believe what happened.

So tonight i was going to test out the circuits, but before that i decided to try it in a flood light holder that i had in the enclosure that i used for my basking light.

ITS WORKING!!

And has been for 30mins!

Lights go off in 1hr, so if its still on, ill be leaving it in there and setting up a camera tomorrow while im at work to see how its going.

Now i have one questio for you though?
Are you allowed to out these on an angle? I heard you could, and if you cant i will need to move the flood light so its actualy over his basking spot, as at the moment its near it but jst pointing down to the floor..

Lucky for me, the closest he can get to it is 17inch..

You can, though it has been stated both by those who use the megas as well as Mac Industries it will shorten the life of the bulb. I do have one on a slight angle, just to one side marginally from straight up and down..Try that.. this particular bulb was the first I installed.. and is still burning strong..

Oh, that is great it did work ! Yippeee ! Distance is fine... Remember one of mine is close to 16" distant..

Damn damn damn damn!!

It was working when i got home last night, but it was lights off so i switched it off, and placed it onto a timer for this morning.

Got up, the light was on but not at full strength yet, had a shower and when i got out it was flickering and turning off!

I have got to be the unlukiest person ever! Lol

so ive left it in a fixture today and left it on.

I read on a UK forum that someone was experiencing the same thing, and reptileuv.uk told them to leave it on for a few hourse and it should stop.

Thats one thing i havent done, normaly i would turn it off, so im gonna see how that goes.


If i get home and its still flickering, ill do the circuit work..

It seems like it has!

Woke up this morning and it wasnt on though, but i think my timmer is broken or something cause after i pulled it out of that and plugged it in, it worked.

So much for a cheap timer from bunnings lol.
