@Hdrydr31 do you need to cover the dirt with mesh to keep them from eating the eggs? I read somewhere that it needed to be covered.
I didn't.. I used the containers that suet comes and once the dirt was literally filled with eggs you can see them then I put that in the incubator tub and put a new one in.. I didn't worry about any eggs getting eaten as they will lay 100-300 eggs in their lifespan so I really wasn't worried about some not making it.. You just need to keep the soil moist so the eggs don't dry out or harden too much for the babies to hatch.
