The original picture is styrofoam glued together and then he covered it with grout and sealant.

That does look very cool! I'm pretty new to the group and have been mostly lurking. I now have an newly adopted adult and 2 youngsters I bought recently at Petsmart and definitely would like to do something like this in both enclosures. I'll check out Lizard Landscapes as suggested, Thanks!

I think they were talking about him swallowing the sand, if your putting a leopard gecko in there sand is not a good choice for them. They can ingest it and have problems
I recommend tile or carpet, paper towel works as well but sand isn't a good substance considering they lick their surroundings and will probably eat some while they hunt
