Hello. It looks like a bruise to me. She might have hit her face on the glass too hard while she was glass dancing. (Mine got a bruised beard one day for bumping the glass of his tank while glass dancing. He still does that. I wish I could put padded insulation in his tank surrounding all of his glass. This way, he won't hurt himself. Goofy boy prefers open view all around.

That's what someone else mentioned too! She's pretty exuberant some days and will jump from one end to another and will not so subtly tell me whenever shes hungry by body slamming the doors haha =P she's a nut for sure. I'll post a new pic today to show an update. It still looks the same! Not really diminished in color at all. It's been about a month now she's had the mark

Here's a couple new pics of her! I just took these. She hasn't lost any weight and is still brumating. So no behavioral changes. I guess that's a good thing!

That really just look like her skin color. The skin under their scales are different than that of the scales themselves, I'm thinking maybe the scales or the skin are a black color. Like I said lol mine has a streak of black in her beard as well. But if she's healthy then I see no problem. Just another added uniqueness to your beardie [emoji846]

Heres an update on her face! Still looks the same so it might just be part of her coloring. Glad its not anything that ended up being serious.

The staining sounds definitely possible! I'll keep an eye on it for sure! Its definitely interesting! I've been looking through so many people's threads that have anything to do with black marks or weird scales lol haven't seen anything that looks like this so hopefully that means this is just innocuous. I'll send another pic in another few days as an update! The pic I posted last night I took then so we can compare.
staining is an entirely possible thing! when i switched substrates to a soil/sand mixture the top like 2-3 inches of my beardies tail was stained a blackish color, stayed that way for about 2 months until he JUST shed it off literally yesterday and now his tail is perfectly bright and normal!

Hmm, In this latest picture it looks like a spot of stuck shed.
