Trying to get beardie to eat salads

Hello! My bearded dragon, Spike is about a year old now. I was feeding him plenty of bugs, black soldier fly larvae, crickets, and occasionally dubias (he doesn’t like dubias picky boy) with his salads. It’s now time to start cutting back on the bugs every day! Unfortunately, he is very picky...

    My beardie won’t chill out?!

I would just like some advice on how to keep him calm while I wait for a better tank, the set up I have with his light and UVB is correct and all of the advice I have taken from this site and several different sites and youtube pages.

    My beardie won’t chill out?!

The probe is where he sits to bask. He spends most of his time at the corner of the hammock. If you can see the screen is off where he spends most of his time. It is a t5 and the screen holes are not wide so I took the screen off.

    My beardie won’t chill out?!

My bearded dragon, Spike, is having a little trouble keeping calm. He’s about 7 months old now, give or take. He keeps running back and forth across his enclosure and glass surfing, this has been happening for about a month. The last couple days he hasn’t been eating much, either, but I’m...

    T5 HO UVB.. is 5.0 or 10.0?

Thank you, so is it safe to remove the screen from the tank? The hood I bought is high output with reflectors, would it be unsafe to put a 10 UVB in the tank?

    T5 HO UVB.. is 5.0 or 10.0?

They are small. Should I just switch over to my coil until I get the 10.0 for the bar?

    T5 HO UVB.. is 5.0 or 10.0?

...and the hood is on top of the screen as well, beardie is about 6-7 inches away from the hood in his basking spot.

    T5 HO UVB.. is 5.0 or 10.0?

I recently upgraded my coil UVB to the zoo med hood. It is a t5 HO hood 24in and comes with a free 22 in 5.0 UVB lamp. I also purchased the 10.0 bulb but I received a dud. I also had to get an exchange for the hood because I received another dud (from Chewy) :(. I was wondering since now I have...

    Juvenile beardie has coccidia...?

Hello! I got a bearded dragon in May, his name is Spike. I recently took him to the vet for a check up and he is healthy! However, his stool sample came back positive for coccidia. I am unsure of his exact age, but the vet thinks he is no more than 4 months old. He had runny stool on and off for...

Back legs went paralyzed and now he's suddenly better...?!

Thank you so much for this info! I am feeding him collards and squash the past few days. He is all about the crickets right now though and he isn't that interested in eating his veggies, though he does eat little bits here and there. What kind of salads do you recommend? Like a spring mix? He...

Back legs went paralyzed and now he's suddenly better...?!

Hello! I am a new bearded dragon owner. Yesterday, I think I accidentally overfed my juvenile beardie, Spike. All of the research I have done says give your juvenile beardie lots of crickets. I think possibly some of them were too big. He ate the crickets very fast and had around 10 of them...
