Yeah, we were amused by pattern on his back being different than on his tail. Looks like someone glued another dragon's tail onto him.
He also went full on pig today. Many dubia gave their lives for his tubby tummy. He's definitely doing better than Lintilla was.
There's a reptile store a couple of blocks away from me. Where I got Lintilla, actually. I lasted until that afternoon. Zaphod has already proven to be a much better eater and has gained two grams. I was a little worried because he seemed lethargic and uninterested in food for the first...
As awful as it might sound, I'm actually relieved that it's over for her. Not because I wanted her to die, but at least now whatever was bothering her isn't anymore. Wish we'd gotten the chance to know her, though. She never really stopped being afraid of us, the poor girl.
After a couple of months of weird ups and downs and still not actually growing, she succumbed to whatever was ailing her overnight. Poor little girl never really had a chance, I guess.
I'm now under orders to NOT go to our new nearby reptile store, even though we need rats for our little ball...
He sounds like the way Fenchurch was last year. Right now, all 3 of my adults are pretty well turning their noses up at food. Fenchurch and Arthur are hardly moving. Trillian is more active, but she still doesn't want to eat
I have a dilemma here. Since I got Lintilla a little over a month ago, she has not gained so much as a gram. Still at 4 grams. She's not dehydrated and she's not looking bony. She's also not eating much at all. She is still quite active.
Near as I can figure, she picks at any roaches in...
My dog shows a lot of interest in the dragons and snakes, but all of them seem thoroughly uninterested in her. The one exception was when Fenchurch jumped off my lap, trying to get onto the dog's back for who knows what reason.
Your dragon has some androgyny going on... :D
You probably ought to take it into a dark room with a flashlight, lift its tail, put the lit flashlight at the base of the tail on top of the dragon and take some pictures that way. You'll probably need a second person to help. It's a much more...
I do leave dubia in a bowl in her tank. I've also watched her get in and out of the bowl, so I know that she's capable of it. I just don't know if she's sneaking them out occasionally or not.
Yeah, yeah. I know that there are a lot of baby dragon not eating threads, but I'm a worried dad anyway. We got her two weeks ago at 4 grams. She ate a few dubia (our littlest nymphs) the next morning, but has rarely eaten more than one or two at a go after that - if she eats at all. She's...
For us, it's doubly bad because our mail carriers are very unreliable. I just want to scream at these shippers to just leave the post office out of the picture completely. Especially on time crucial items like reptile lights.
Bought a uvb bulb for Lintilla's rearing enclosure from them. They shipped it via UPS SurePost. *grumblesnarlswear*
Definitely need to have a word with them about that.
Had a reweigh last night and Fenchurch reclaimed her spot as the heaviest because Arthur lost 8 grams. Trillian is up to 441 grams - she was 304 when we got her!
Little Lintilla? She tipped the scales at 4 grams.
