Yawning?

Has anyone else witnessed their little friend yawning? Dude appeared to be yawning... or had the hiccups or something. I just fed him some crickets, and he puffed out his beard a few times, no dark color, and then made a yawning gesture... Strange?

Hmm...do you mean mouth open, gaping? If so, he is regulating his body temp.

Hiccups? Do you mean like gagging?

I don't think he was gagging? He's only done it once... my friend says I'm overly sensitive but I don't think so ;)

I don't think it was temp regulating either... unless he likes it chilly, the temps were in the 90s... maybe?

That's good that it isn't gagging. Perhaps Tom nailed it with a stretching exercise before a shed. Or maybe he was just a sleepy little dragon. ;)

Tom, you totally got it. Today Dude is shedding BIG TIME! He's been rubbing on his log, sprayed him and gave him a short bath...He occasionally yawns, but he is still gaping... Does this mean I need to lower the temp? It reads at 106 in the hot spot.

Awww, my baby is shedding!

I wouldn't lower your temp. He's just regulating and soaking up the UV and heat so he can shed his skin.
