What’s going on with his eye

I have a 4 yr old male named Sloane who recently developed something funky going on with his eye . He still seems to move it about as though he can see out of it . But when i came home from work today i noticed he had the , lets say “cat eye “ closed and his other “good eye” open . Does any one have any ideas what could be going on ?

I would take him to the vet asap. that definitely doesn't look good.
