In my research I've found mulberries are edible for bearded dragons. Leaves as well. They can be bonsai styled. They are from arrid and semi arrid environments just like bearded dragons. There's a dwarf variety that's best for bonsai. I personally would like a bioactive enclosure with spineless prickly pear and a dwarf mulberry tree. I'm finishing my younger boy pinky's 4x2x2 this week. Then I'm gonna start getting things together to switch pinky and brains substrate to a bioactive enclosure. I think building clean up crew colonies will be the first step.

@Skybug is the guy for this, his beautiful dragon roams all day in his potted trees and plants on his deck, I’m sure he’ll be along in a few hours with some advice.

Hello, yes those are toxic, But its only the sap that’s actually toxic, (id still stay away from them though) now i dont know of a specific tree or plant thatd be good for climbing, (one big enough for him to be in might be to high off the ground, and bearded dragons are Semi-Arboreal)(meaning they may climb a downed tree, but they’re not gonna be up in a trees limbs) (if u get something high off the ground put pillows and rugs around it (any more than a foot could be a deadly fall if he doesn’t land good, beardies are very clumsy and not agile at all, not good tree lizards) but if u still intend to find something, your best options for trees are citrus (these have lots of side ways branches, good for roosting) really any fruit tree can be good, tbh i think u want more of a bush for him to climb in rather a tree, a bush would support him pretty good, and he can climb all of in it :)

Thank you Mightaswell and Skybug. Ginger is a big climber she is always climbing to the top of the curtains or as high as she can get on anything. I love the mulberry idea especially since its my favorite berry and I love the citrus ideas too!!! What do you mean by a bioactive enclosure? I'm building an open housing area for Ginger. PS is there any way to disinfect a bearded dragon? There are those new UV lights that came out around CORONA.

Really cute pics, i can tell ur kids love their lizard friend :) They really arnt as dirty as ud think they are, a simple soak in a tub of water and scrub em with a toothbrush should get him clean enough, I wouldn’t use any uv sanitation lights (one, i think those are a scam, Hows light gonna clean a pile of poo?) (2 dont use any soap on him, itll dry out his scales) i let my beardy soak for 15 minutes, then i rinse her after, she’s clean enough for me to allow her on my bed, and im a germaphobe to soo……
