Tail Rot????

Hey all. Zoros mom here. His tail is a little black at the tip but it's been that way since I got him??? And it has a little indent. I'm going to send some pictures. He literally went to the vet like a week or two ago and he is about to shed I think. I've only had him for a little while. Pls help. Is this tail rot??
