My bearded dragon’s tail seems to be an unhealthy shade of grey. It doesn’t look like his normal sheds. He has been brumating on and off the last couple months inside a shelter, so he hasn’t been getting as much calcium or UVB if he would if he were active and eating.

The other two answers (too cold, ready to shed) are both possible causes. Sickness is another possibility. If you have a captive bred color morph, it isalso possible that you have a breed of dragon that is more colorful when it isyoung and turns grey as it matures
