Tail discoloration

My bearded dragon suddenly has yellow in between his scales on his tail. He has been normal with his eating and activity and weight and mood and nothing else is amiss. I'm not sure if it is a retained shed? Any input would be great. The yellow is nowhere else.

Tail looks good. As they shed more of their natural colors start coming out more. I've noticed too that the tail loves to change colors with shed. Sometimes tails end up being multiple shades. Yellow fungus usually starts near the vent area and it's scab like and black.

Is there any reason why it's just his tail and I'm just starting to notice it? I feel like an awful lizard mom.

It actually kinda looks like the rest of his body is going to shed and his tail isn’t.

He just went through a pretty large shed on his body and legs!
