We are fairly new BD owners and absolutely love our beardie, Spike. I wanted to post a couple pictures of his enclosure and get some feedback from the experts.
His tank is a 40g breeder. We have a Reptisun 10.0 UVB mounted in his tank and then a 125w heat bulb from Home Depot that is on for 12hrs a day and a black light that we keep on all the time. Up until last night we had a 125w UVA from a pet store but it broke and we were able to pick this one up in a pinch. Does that work just as well?
We have never gotten good read with our thermometer when it is stuck to the wall. I just put it next to him to see what it would register. Here is a pic I think you can all see.

One suggestion....you don't need a black light and the light you replaced should be fine as long as it gets your viv up to correct temperature
