im a new bearded dragon owner and ive had fred since july of 2016. i bought him from petsmart with his sister who died in october of 2016. lately, he has just been sleeping and not eating. normally, he would chase crickets and worms and jump to catch them but now all he does is look at them. he won't attempt to chase them. he hasn't eaten anything in the past couple of days and i dont know what to do.

How old is Fred? It's winter, so beardies have a tendency to slow down around this time of year, and adults will go into brumation. If he's young, I'd take a look at your UVB bulb. Over time the UVB bulbs lose their mojo and need replaced, when they start declining our beardies will often become lethargic.

he's about 6 or 7 months old.. about an hour or so or go he had a really big seizure. he stopped and drank a lot of water and is no longer seizing. he is just barely walking, more of a crawl or slither and seems extremely weak.

What's your UVB source? The most common cause of seizures is hypocalcemia, usually caused by a lack of UVB light. Without UVB they can't utilize their calcium properly and begin to developers MBD. Lack of motor control, weakness and seizures lead me to believe that your baby has developed MBD. UVB, calcium, and proper nutrition are crucial to halting the progression.

I would check your UVB lighting. If it's 6 months old, it's probably time to change it. Seizures are concerning, I would have a vet take a look at him and also have a fecal done.

Also check your tank temps. Not wanting to eat is a also a sign that your temps may be to cold but it's also a sign of parasites.
