So my baby fox he'd about half of his tail

The dark top part
But the rest of his hasn't which is a bit concerning considering the part that did shed is darker then the part that didn't and it doesn't lighten up with the rest of his body
He has full use of it though he uses it to wrap around my arm and hold himself up if he feels that I am not holding him up well enough
Any advice? It would be a great help I want to do what's best for my fox

hmm interesting, has it ever shed? What you can do is get a baby tooth brush and use that while in the soak, and at nighttime (when his lights are off) you can use some coconut oil and rub that in on his tail.. (don't do it during the basking light or it will get hot).. You can also try some shed aide.. Give that a go for awhile and see if that changes any...

I will try that, I don't think I have coconut oil but I will look for some!
I believe it has shed before I just think it's a bit odd because I don't remember it being that way

The top of Luci's tail has always been dark like that, he's a dark dragon but his tail always looks real dark. I'll try to take picture when he wakes up tomorrow.

I was't able to get a picture of his tail today. Here is an old one. I tried to post a better one but for some reason I'm having issues with my photos being too big all the sudden. You can kinda see the color difference here.He also has a crook in the middle of his tail, not sure what happened or when it happened.

Keep an eye on it. If there are any changes in color or it looks like something is binding the tail or he is in pain when you touch it, then you need to see a vet. In my opinion it's just the natural color change of his tail or he's about to shed.
