What are you using for a uvb? Coil or long tube fixture-- how old is the bulb? Do you have digital probe thermometers to get surface basking temps?Hello we have just moved our beardy to new viv under basking light im reading 34.9c 55 humidity and cold end im reading 25c 89 humidity and we used our uv bulb from old viv is this ok to do as new viv is 4ft by 2ft by 2ft old 1 was smaller???
I am sorry what is the brand and bulb of the uvb? Not sure on the question your askingThe tube is 2 months old yes thats what im using is it because its a bigger tank??
The Arcadia is good - what is the screen on the tank? Fine mesh or a wide hole type? Is the uvb a 24" or 36"Yeh no im sorry basically i should of said i just want to know if the tube i took from old viv is ok in new viv the new viv is 4ft/2ft/2ft and old 1 was smaller the tube is arcadia 12% desert
Ok the uvb needs to be inside the tank-- directly above the basking decor --the humidity is being taken w/ a digital probe hygrometer? Analogs are inaccurate - the probe needs to be placed in the center back wall of the tank-- optimal humidity is 40-50%It is wide hole type and it is 24" on the hot side im now getting 37.7 c and 47% humidity but on cold side its 27.2c and 87% humidity i cant seem to get it down

Is the sand wet? That would be causing the high humidity there - do you have water bowls in the tank ?First pic is cool end and second pic is basking end im really worried that humidity is so high
Yes that what's causing the humidity to be so high- I would get rid of the sand and use some texture non adhesive shelf liner or get a mat like from zen habitatsWill it be the sand then does it have to dry out????
Sand is not recommended as it can cause impaction especially in babies and its not very sanitary -- it harbors bacteria etc -- I would get rid of it and see what the humidity level does thenOh that was recommended to me by someone who allready has it in a vivarium
