New to Beardies

My daughter has been begging my husband and I to buy her a lizard and after much research the Bearded's seem to be the most kid friendly. Were told leopard gecko's were good, but they are mostly nocturnal and we want something the kids can enjoy during the day. I've always been a fan of lizards myself and I think I might be more excited than her to get one. We have the 30 gallon tank to start with the first few essentials. We're building it up piecemeal and when it's complete we will be purchasing our first dragon. Estimated buy date would be sometime at the end of June, maybe sooner. I'm very interested in the hypo/snows and the leucistics. My daughter wants a normal, but I'm trying to sway her towards my choice... If anyone is selling or knows of a breeder in the Long Island, NY area please let me know. We are willing to have one shipped, but would rather pick up. Thanks!

Hey NaTasha, Welcome 2 the Forum & Congratulations on your future new addition. If you aren't able to find someone locally that has what you want & you have to have the animal shipped, just make sure you go through a reputable breeder. If shipped properly your dragon will show little sign of stress upon arrival.
