Dragons shed on their own that is when they are growing ---- the most important thing in the tank is your surface basking temps 105-110 F taken w/ a digital probe thermometer and your UVB--- NO coils you want a long tube fixture like a Arcadia Pro T 5 12 % bulb 24 watt --- it needs to be correctly placed for the screen on the tank--- how big is your tank? NO BUDDIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dragons are a solitaire animal and territorial --- he will be fine -- please post a pic of the tank and lighting so I can help you get him set up correctly so he will thrive ---- improper tank set up he wont make it

Ok so my calculations are a 145 gallon tank? First I would get rid of the sand -- too much risk for impaction - babies lick and are sloppy eaters so his risk of eating too much sand is great - I would get some NON adhesive textured shelf liner cut to the size of your tank - found at your local home improvement store --- but first this is imperative please get a long tube UVB --- here is a website you can order one from if you cant find one where you are https://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/arcadia-prot5-uvb-kit-desert-12#prot5-kit-12-24w
I dont see any temp gauges in the tank ---- this is imperative you want 2 digital probe thermometers like this
or similar to https://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/white-python-digital-max-min-thermometer
Zoo Med makes these if you can order off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Digi...probe+thermometer+zoo+med,aps,123&sr=8-2&th=1
PLEASE get these stuff as soon as possible your baby is dependent on this -- he will stop eating w/ any of this stuff off -- if you need more help please ask

Ok so your UVB will need to be directly over a piece of basking decor approx 12-15 inches - I would shoot for 13-14 inches --- the probe thermometer is going to need to be placed on the basking rock/ decor to get a accurate temp -it does not need to stay there but you want to check temps every couple of weeks or so heat bulbs do lose their heat intensity after a while --- place the other probe on your cool side of the tank - you basically want 3 temps in the tank - your surface basking temp 105-110 F till he is around 6 months of age then it will drop to around 95-100 F -- middle of the tank 90's or so and your cool side 80ish F -- let me know if you need more help / questions
