Hello,

I'm moving Nubs to a 75 gallon tank. Right now in the 20 gallon I use an 150 watt and a 50 watt incandescent bulb to keep his temps up. I'm thinking of moving to halogen bulbs. What watts do I need? He'll be too cold if I stay with what I have now in the new tank.

A 90 watt Par 38 halogen flood light is what most people use. Remember little ones need a basking SPOT of 107 degrees and then a temp gradient in the rest of the tank. The whole tank shouldn't be the same hot temperature.
