I cannot tell from the picture if he has mites or not but I would treat him for them anyway just in case. As treatment I would give baths every other day in water chest level with a rock so he can get out. I would also buy Mite spray.
I have jurassimites which I bought to treat mites for my snake, it turns out that he only had some trouble shedding
