mealworm HELP

OK I RAN OUT OF CRICKETS went to the store ....no crickets either...the stupid pet store people told me mealworms are fine....I freakin knew I read no mealworms, I didn't have my phone with me to quick jump on here...here is the problem, storm doesn't eat too many greens yet...is it an absolute no no to feed him these meal worms...I won't be able to get crickets until tomorrow night ...what should I do?????? Feed him them or just leave greens salad to eat
