Hello, this is my first official threat created! Thank you all for including me into the Bearded Dragon Forum!
My name is Dawson Cignarella, Founder of RoyaleScales LLC, we are a non-profit Reptile Sanctuary located in North America, East Coast.
By now I am sure everyone is aware of the impact that hurricane Florence has had on many of us in the lower states. Anyway. I have 6 bearded dragons that are coming from a Private Rescue Agency (They wish not to be disclosed) and will be arrive on Friday, October 12th. Out of the 6 that arriving, one of the older males has diagnosed with MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) by a Veterinarian Specialist.
Due to this lack of proper husbandry, Me and my Wife have decided to hold back this beautiful animal and keep him for ourselves due to the fact we can ensure he lives a proper & healthy life!
It's often hard to find homes for animals who have such serious illness and a lot to ask of Adopters to take in, and unfortunately a lot of time they will end up back in Shelters because the owners can't afford medical costs or simply weren't fully aware of the animals position.
Are there any tips from anyone out there that you can provide me with, I basically want to know what are the absolute best way to take care of a animal with MBD, I know I can find a lot of this information online and some I already know, but a lot of times online information isn't exactly up to date and not always correct. I've owned Beardies in the past, know the general analysis of diet, supplements, lighting, heating, and shedding but I really wanna know the best way to make this reptilian brethren most COMFORTABLE and if possible to help reduce stiffness.
-On a side note, I will have 5 bearded dragons for sale, including 1 Witblit. (2 Males & 3 Females; Ages range from 1 and a half to 4 years of age.
Thank you all,
Dawson C
