Losing toes?...

So my best friend has a Bearded Dragon named Draik. (I think she's 8 or 9, maybe older?) Recently, she started losing toes off of one of her feet. She already lost two, and my best friend thinks she's going to lose another. What's wrong with Draik?
(Sorry, I don't have any pictures! And I don't know if this is in the right forum or not. xDD)

There could be any number of issues at hand...

It could also be from a bad shed that didn't complete around the toes and is actually cutting off the circulation and toe.
