ok so im setting up my tank this week before i get my first baby beardie. i have my 100w mega ray all set up on the basking side and the temps. are just about on point. but the cool side of the tank is still kind of like... dark. should i maybe get a fluorescent tube to go across the top? or just a really low watt household bulb for the other side cuz if i use a watt. too high the temps. will be off

40 gallon sorry forgot.. its not like dark dark but hardly any light

Try a 40wat bulb just put it high so it won’t affect the temp
