Right now, I don't have a light on the cool side of the enclosure, and the daytime temp is 85 degrees. I'd like to put a light on that side so it's not so shadowy (my tank is in the corner of the room), but I can't seem to find a light that is just a light, and not a heat lamp. Any suggestions? Should I just use a normal lightbulb? Can I put one of those in a viv lamp/hood? He doesn't need UV on that side since he has it in his basking spot, where he spends almost 100% of his time. Or is it better for that cool side to be less bright to encourage him to bask?

I second the fluorescent recommendation. Good light, low power, low heat...
