Is this style of harness ok?

My little buddy is getting big enough I want to start leash training him. I bought one off line but it didn't fit him well. He kept wiggling out almost immediately. So I made one. My question is dose anyone see any potential problems with this design?

Hello, I don't really see any problems but I have never used this style before. The only thing I would be concerned about is the pieces of rope in the back. I feel like they might get caught on some of his spikes especially if he gets scared and puffs up. I prefer this style of harness but it is up to you.
