I have a question when it comes to supplements.... What calcium should I use and how often.... ATM I was told to use calcium with D3 every 3 feeding then use multivitamins for 1 day, then calcium again with Repashy Supper Veggie on his veggies

Bad Decision

Yes, you feed every day. Feed your bearded dragon the veggies and insects. Because yours is young, you’re going to want to make sure it get enough insects.

So yeah they told me more insects than veggies cuz he needs protein.... As they grow older more greens than bugs.. how many days bugs and how many days greens out the week? And as he gets older how should I change the schedule?

With you asking questions about feeding has me wondering about your lighting and what your using for that --
I have a 75W Basking bulb, temp is 95-99°
I got T8 30” fixture with 10.0 reptisun... I will Upgrade to T5 soon. He came with T8 fixture

I’m working on getting him on the right track as I want to provide the best husbandry, that’s why I’m asking all sorts of questions.

His basking temp should be 105-110 -- and if you offer a gradient of basking temps that would be great for him - you can use a log decor that offers different places to sit --- the T 8 fixture is it running the whole length of the tank ? The T 8 should be inside the tank approx 10-12 inches from his basking spot and the T 5 can go on top of screen but depending on that screen type fine screen like a screen door or wide hole depends on the distance from basking decor -- those are really good bulbs
Yes whole length of tank.... he’s in a 40G upgrading to 75 when he is older. At basking spot T8 is about 9-12 inches from where he sits... I ordered all kinds of stuff for his enclosure but I’m getting it till Wednesday.
I’m getting him the 36” T5 UVB with 10.0 bulb

Please dont get the same length of the tank - the one you have now will be good for the 75 gallon-- as it sits right now its not good to have the full length - they need to be able to get out of the rays if they want to w// out having to hide from it
Even if I provide hiding spot? Should I cover half the light? so I can get a smaller T5 fixture, let’s say a 24” and just focus the UVB on the hot side of tank.... So when I get 75G tank this fixture is good without having to put it inside?

That better?
UVB and basking are about 8-9 inches away and UVB on rest on enclosure is about 12 inches away

Is he eating good- and his poops? Are they formed moist and dark and his urates are they formed moist and white
Yes he is, he actually defecated in his food bowl.... urines seem normal..
I keep Chameleons so I pretty much have a basic idea on husbandry... I just need the details....so what about the basking bulb with UVB the biodude uses? Those any good?

Are all these safe for him to eat or just his enclosure overall?
