So my humidity in the tank is at 50% according to my petco meter. Are these accurate? If so how do I reduce it?

They are not accurate. Get a Walmart acurite digital thermometer and that will give you a more accurate idea.

to answer the lowering humidity, most of us live in areas where humidity is that or more daily and our bds still thrive.. the humidity in CJs cage is usually between 30 and 70% and he is doing very well. if you are dead set on lowering it, a dehumidifier will lower it.

It seems to range between 37 and 50 so I think I'm good then.
