Humidity

I moved Turbo from her 75gallon tank to a 40gallon breeder. She seems to like the change alot but humidity is becoming an issue. It has been on the high side since the switch. And last night I decided to try shutting her heat off at night since the room she is in stays plenty warm enough. But I woke up this morning to the humidity being sky high!!

It does look like she went skinny dipping in her water dish last night. But regardless the humidity has been high since the change.

Also she has been sitting with her mouth open as if she is to hot. Which I never saw her do before in the 75 gallon. And since the move her basking spot is actually a little cooler.

I removed the water dish this morning and have a fan blowing over the top of tank to try and get some fresh dry air in there.

Any other tips or tricks to lower my humidity a bit without changing too much?

Thanks
-Dakota

Recommended humidity levels for dragons are 30-45% It is very normal for the humidity levels to go up at night and then the heat and lights of the day they drop back down. Smaller enclosures are harder to maintain those levels. Your best option is to start by removing the water dish as well they really don't need it if your giving good juicy bugs and good greens.
Gapping is totally normal they can't sweat so they gap to reduce their body heat. They thermo regulate themselves so if they are too hot they gap and if that doesn't work they move from that spot.
Airflow is key so yea having a fan moving air around where her enclosure is will help. As long as the night time temps don't go below 65F they don't need heat..

Get rid of the water dish. If that doesn't help some people have used a sock filled with rice (make sure there are no holes in the sock) and that supposedly helps absorb some of the humidity.
