Today I took my bearded dragon to the vet due to his swelling eye in which the vet said was found to be an abscess. Thankfully it has not progressed to be serious and he received an antibacterial injection and for a week I have to put eye drops on his infected eye. One thing I noticed is that he was trying to scratch his eye before I took him to the vet and he has not wanted to eat at all (due to pain) . I am very worried that he is weak cause he is not eating. Do I leave him alone and let him heal ? Or should I pure some collard greens and turnip greens mix it with water and force feed him with a dropper ? I forgot to ask the vet about this but I know my dragon is currently refusing to eat .

Another question I have is how do I keep my dragon from trying to rub his eye ? I currently have him on a soft towel resting but I will catch him from trying to rub his eye against the towel . The eye still agitates him and I am scared he will hurt himself when I’m not looking.
