I would say 2-3 months and please get him off the sand - ingesting this will cause impaction babies are very clumsy eaters- please make sure your getting surface basking temps w a digital probe thermometer- a good uvb- NO coils! They are inadequate - you want a long tube fixture-- there are 3 good ones I can post links if you need them-- you want this all on par or he will stop eating

I would very much appreciate it if you could post the links
Ok so here are 3 of them choose one of them placement and distance will be determined by the screen on the tank -- they are all T5 bulbs and will need to be changed out in 10-11 months
for a 40 + gallon tank a 24" fixture - if your using a 20 gallon tank it can work it just would need to be placed on one end of the tank going vertically across the tank --
24" Zoo Med https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...o-med-reptisun-t5-hood?variant=26907425734756 this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb you can use this on a 20 gallon tank but you would need to have the distance for this bulb 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor w/ NO screen - for a 40 gallon you want a 22" Reptisun https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...d-reptisun-10-0-uvb-t5?variant=26907418591332
this one can be found at Pet Smart you want the 24 watt 12 % bulb
https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/en...v-b-kit-65058.html?cgid=500114&fmethod=Browse
or this one you want the 2 ft or 24" and you will need to replace the bulb w/ the Reptisun posted above
https://hydrobuilder.com/sunblaster-nanotech-t5-ho-fixture-with-6400k-lamp.html
these are all good fixtures --- when you get the UVB please post back on here and I will help you get it placed for the tank -- here is a website for nutrition ignore the kale info its outdated and the kale is a good staple feeder
http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
I recommend getting him some BSFL to lure him to the salad bowl https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d
you want him eating some salads and these are a great lure and a great staple feeder for babies
I would recommend feeding him dubia roaches as well they are a better feeder than crickets and easier to care for
www.symtonbsf.com - start w/ small roaches - and medium BSFL they are a small larvae - it is cheaper to get them on line than at the pet stores --
here are a few sites for insects / worms --- a good variety of worms is good please NO Meals worms the exo skeleton on them is too harsh for babies stomachs - super worms probably small ones for now 1-5 on his salads as well - small horn worms feed off quickly they grow really fast and are a good hydration worm so you can order small quantities and feed 2 at a time - put them on his salads they stick to everything

www.aafeeders.com

Let me know how it goes any questions please ask

Thank you very much appreciated. I will take this all in consideration and start doing it
Ok so how has he been eating so far? He will go thru relocation stress so his eating is going to be off but as long as hes eating thats good - when he stops eating thats not good -- after getting all on par w/ temps of 105-110 for surface basking and the good UVB he will adjust quicker -- he will need time to acclimate to his tank and surroundings but we want him to keep eating --- he needs hydration and that is mostly done thru his salads - you can rinse the greens before serving as well as spraying his head - see if he will lick and if he does keep spraying till his either stops or moves away - watch his poops - they need to be dark formed and moist - urate white formed and moist if they are dry and chalky looking hes dehdrated

We’ve also been feed him roaches more often then crickets and some BSFL so he eats more lettuce
Lettuce as in ice berg lettuce? He needs greens but his main diet is protein - and I would feed greens like mustard kale turnip or collards - dandelion greens are good too
here is a website for nutrition http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
ignore the kale info its a good staple the info is outdated

not ice berg lettuce we’ve been feeding him Romain lettuce but I will have a look at that and start shopping for those exact things, do you have any advice for the aggressiveness, he only tries to bite me and not my husband.
