How best to clean wooden hides

I had two wooden hides for Beemo in her viv, but she's pooped on one, so I've got her two large fake rock looking hides now, but I wanted to know if there's a way to clean the wooden ones, to keep them as spares.

The only way I know to clean and sanitize wood, is to boil it. Which is easy enough as long as you have a big enough pot. It would just take a little bit to dry.

I use a product called Super Clean from Beardeddragon.co that breaks down the poop. I spray it on the wooden things and scrub real good and rinse and let dry.

Other than actually baking or boiling I have found Simple Green to work pretty well at cleaning and disinfecting.

I am always nervous on using normal household cleaners like simple green possible chemical poisoning. Better to side on the side of safety and using cleaners and disinfectants made for lizards.

You're probably right... I take the beardie out of enclosure and let him run around while I clean the viv, but him back when the smell is gone and everything has dried.

Yes they do... use it for detailing vehicle interiors all the time... probably the most "natural" way of cleaning since it's just water you are using.

Steam cleaners are the only thing that kills all parasites and bacteria in a tank. 165degrees for 10-15minutes. I bought a 2 in 1 cleaner and I can use it to clean my floors and my tanks. Best purchase I ever bought.

To be honest, I ended up ordering a couple of rock-looking plastic reptile hides instead. They look lovely and natural, but are so simple to clean. (They may not be plastic--- I cannot remember the name of the material but they clean very easily--- and Beemo and I have gotten into a schedule of sorts for pooping and bathtime, which has cut down on her pooping inside her viv)
