His tail has been pale for quite some time. His body shed about two weeks ago but not his tail. Due to his color, I dont know if his tale looks dead or not. Any experts out there that can help? The closest reptiles vet is an hour away from me without traffic.

Looks like a classic shed it’s fine their scales will turn pale in color right before it flakes off and explodes lol

if its not crooked in a weird angle or not moving at all, i'll say he's fine for now, but I would give him 10 minute soak and if you have soft new toothbrush, brush his tail softly while bathing him.

Mine has been going through the same thing, but shed the rest about 2 weeks ago... today the tail finally started its shed and she looks alive again.
