Hello,

We have a 5 year old bearded dragon, Ziggy, and just the other day noticed these scab-like marks on her face. She does not eat live prey. She is about to shed. Can anyone tell me what these look like and if she needs to see a vet?

Thanks!

What kind of UVB are you using and how close is the basking bulb ? They dont really look like burn marks but I am asking to make sure we cover bases here-- it looks like a blister -- going to have someone else take a look

She replied and has asked this

Those are evenly spaced so it's most likely she's pushing her head to get under something and is being scraped. Post a few pics of the entire set up and all the decor. If there's a cave, show the back of it as well. Also does she roam freely in any rooms and maybe tried to squeeze under or in to something ? Raw honey should clear that up as long as she doesn't re-injure herself so it's important to figure out where this happened. Be sure there are no loose insects in the tank.
