Heating Questions

I am having trouble getting my basking area up to the proper temp. I upped it to a 150 W bulb and he digital thermometer is only reading 93-95 so far. He had stopped eating last night and today so I bought a new thermometer and realized his temp was only 85 degrees.
He is temporarily in a 90 q rubbermaid tote with a screen lid until I finish building his permanant home.

Lower the bulb or raise the basking spot

I have a 150 bulb and the temp is capable of going really high. I have it about 3 inches from the screen and the temp stays right around 105. If he doesn't eat don't worry about it. When he is hungry....he will eat. Good luck!!
