Daphne is somewhere around 14-16 inches will a 36" long x 18" deep x 20" high be suitable? Or should I be looking for something bigger?

That should be ok. Do you know how many gallons it is?

You may want to consider going bigger. We use a 75 gallon. The guy we bought it from thought we were crazy, but Bernie enjoyed running around and at times we thought that was too small.

Will find a bigger one then. Can we make an enclosure? And will she/ they climb if given the opportunity? Can we do something like an open table thing with sides tall enough to keep her in? You know like the things pet stores keep budgies in?

They do like to climb. I would not leave the top open. He could jump and hurt himself. Get a wire top or something. The site Tom referenced has been discussed quite a bit on the forum if you decide to build.
