Bringing beardie to the vet - what do I need?

I’m taking Colonel Mustard in for his first check up (with me) soon. I’m unsure if he ever saw a vet with his previous owner and I know he was pretty misinformed about bearded dragons, so I just want to make sure he’s all good - nothing seems pressing don’t worry :) I just wanted to ask, how do you transfer them from place to place? Should I buy heat packs? How much space should he have in what I bring him in? Am I overthinking this? Lol

I have a small animal carrier, looks like a duffle bag with ventilation. I bring a blanket with and put it in the carrier. I can also use the blanket to cover the carrier if it's too windy out. Heat packs can be used only if it's real cold outside. If you are driving, don't turn the AC on or if it's cold outside, turn the heat on and warm up the car before you put the dragon in the car.
