That is not normal - please tell me what your using for a UVB and where its placed how old is it- I am assuming its a good brand considering she is 12 -- I am going to have Tracie take a look at your post - she is a vet tech on the board -
She's had the same lighting for the past 2 years it's specialized for her size tank she was fine then this started nothing has changed her diet has been the same meal worms and dubi roaches I recently gave her crickets... I did look it up and I learned that a beardie her age goes into what they call"Buermanation" ? I've never seen her act like this....I know she's old and her span is 8-12 years but I've tooken care of her well.

Is the bulb changed out every 10-11 months old you didnt specify the brand and the bulb your using-- UVB bulbs loose their effectiveness around 10 - 11 months unless you have a Ferguson Solar Meter giving you the readings which should be around 6.5 --placement is key as well screens can block appox 30% of the UVB rays if sitting on top of the screen-- brumation is common in the fall -- not summer--dragons start brumation around 1 year of age -- and can brumate for 3 months---- is she getting salads?

She's been with our family for so many years we considered her our other child.. I'm so crushed her memories flash through my mind. No more good mornings or conversations with her.. She is really going to be missed.. thank you again
