I have a fairly young bearded dragon, and I really let him roam around our back yard for the first time today (under supervision).
One thing I noticed was that he went and tried to eat dirt. He managed to eat some but it was a minuscule amount. I'm not sure if it's legitimate, but I read that it might be because he's lacking calcium from his regular diet and he can get some from the dirt. I thought it was weird because I calcium dust his mealworms that I give him every day and sometimes even dust the greens I give him as well. Anyone have an experience like this before? Thank you!
