2 basking spots for a 55 gal tank

so guys im doing a my first breeding project with steppe runners. i have a 2:1 ratio female to male housed in a 55 gallon tank. at full adult size they max out at 6 inches. would it be possible to have two basking spots in the enclosure 1 on each side of the tank
