I recently changed the UV lights in my Bearded Dragons's vivariums. They used to have Repti Glo, now they have Arcadia. Every now and then my female will jump up and try to attack it. She has never tried to do this before. My male bearded dragon doesn't do this, just the female. Does anyone...
Hi, I really need some advice, is there anyone who is fairly experienced with bearded dragons who is happy for me to inbox them? Just as a warning it's a fairly long message.
Thank you.
I'll try and get a picture sometime, I tried getting a picture before but he started head bobbing lol. I've been trying with the toothbrush but no skin has come off so not sure if it is that.
Saphira was out of her tank and she ran up to Norberts tank (the fastest I've seen her run) and started black bearding and head bobbing quickly at him. It was so random and she's never done this before, usually she'll either ignore him or arm wave at him. Has she suddenly decided she wants to...
My male Bearded Dragon Norbert has one black scale on his beard. He's had it since we got him (beginning of September), it doesn't seem to bother him, and it's only on one scale, does anyone have any ideas on why it could be black?
Haha sounds gross but kinda awesome. I've only seen my current leo shed twice, it's cool to watch though, I always feel bad for the little fella the day before when he's walking about all baggy lol.
Thanks! It's so random how they shed. I've got a leopard gecko (also called Dexter) who I've had nearly a year, and I've also had two previous to him so I'm using to shedding all in one go. I'd love to see a frog shed though, I've got 4 but I've never seen them do it.
Lol, I think it might be shed as more of her head is fading now, I'll upload a picture anyway just in case.
I'm still not quite used to the way bearded dragons shed in parts.
The fat pads on my female bearded dragon's head have gone really pale. The rest of her head hasn't changed colour, just the fat pads. Do you think something could be wrong? I can upload a picture sometime if that would help?
Thank you :) their vivs are 3ft x 1.5ft x 2ft (l/d/h) (equivalent to 65 gallon I think) originally they were both kept in one 3ft vivarium, but we separated them after a week or two (while we waited for the new viv to arrive)
I've weighed them again and Norbert (19inch male) is now 566g and Saphira (16inch female) is now 442g.
We've cut the morioworms down from 5 a day to 3 a day. Do you think the reason they're putting on so much weight is because it's winter and they're not exercising as much?
I was wondering...
