We had Elliott for 6 1/2 years. He loved being handled and was a great hang. While we were on vacation in 2018 our neighbor left open his enclosure and he was nowhere to be found. We gave up all hopes that he was lost forever. 2 weeks after we returned, our house cleaning ladies were working in...
The Vet I went to showed me how to open my Beardies mouth. You take hold of the beard and pull down. It doesn’t hurt them but he/she won’t be happy when you do it.
Apparently, Elliott has been backed up for over 2 weeks! I gave him a bath 3 days ago... nothing. I just gave him a 2nd bath and luckily he was in my plastic slop sink when he exploded! This 1/2” plug was the culprit
I use the green carpet stuff made by ZooMed. It’s super durable and you can cut it to size plus it’s washable with a hose. You may also want to get rid of the infrared heat lamp, not got for the dragons eyes. I have Elliott in a 40 gal tank. For one dragon, that’s large enough.
I have a ZooMed 40 gal 36x18x18 tank. The split top is ripped on the back half and the front half melted. Does anyone know where to get a replacement cover? I looked it up on the ZooMed and Amazon sites, but wasn't able to locate one.

They sell Discoid roaches, which in my dragon’s opinion are better than dubias.
I get what you’re saying, I disagree to a point. I go regularly to a Exotic Reptile store in Jacksonville, and they only use sand and never have issues with it. Sand is of course scoopable.
I live in Florida and sand is everywhere. I’m considering using dry beach sand for my beardie. I think this will be good considering bearded dragons live on beaches and in the desert of Australia. Any thoughts?
I live in Northeast Florida and have tons of toads in my area that come out at night. As a treat I’ve been giving Elliott one a week for the calcium and other nutrients.
