Hi all - I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have had my little guy for about two weeks now. He is 3ish months old.
For bugs he gets dubia roaches, bsfl, and some wax worms. I put them all in the same dish - twice/day.
He also gets daily salad - kale, bok choi, and another vegetable...
In the week or so I have had him, I have gotten pretty attached- It doesn’t really matter to me whether he is a he or she.
When I was little we had a cat named Cesar. When she got pregnant her name became Cesarina
Thank you for the welcome. Yes, I am likely to spoil him. He has only been with me for a week. I am looking forward to setting up his bio active tank in a well or two
Thanks for the advice. I will keep an eye on him. So far as I can tell he is a pig!
Always happy to eat bugs. He gets Dubia roaches and wax worms 2x/day. I ordered bsfl that should be here next week. Seems better than the wax worms.
Picks at his salad on and off. I have only had him for 6 days...
Hi again. I do have a basking bulb.
Attached are pics of his tank from two angles. This is a temporary set up as I have another tank for him that I will be setting up as a bio active tank tank in the next week or two.
This one is 36x18x20
His basking area temp is 97 to 107. His cool side ranges from 83-87. He is about 3 months old and his UVB is 22” t5 strip that provides light in both his basking area and the cool side
Thanks for responding- I got a little worried about the CHE after I saw something about only turning it on at...
I recently saw a post that said the che should only be used at night.
Can someone please explain why? I live in the NW and having the che on during the day helps keep the tank warm enough during the day.
Any comments are greatly appreciated
Thanks for the pics and info- I can see how much fussing it takes to get the set up right.
I have a little ceramic dish for his bugs in his tank. The dubias and wax worms can’t get out, so he can eat a bunch bask for a minute or two and then go eat the last couple bugs in his dish. I have bsfl...
Thank you for your interest in my little guy.
The tank he is in now is a Zilla 18x30.
His basking light is an exo terra 150w. Keeps his basking area at about 105. He has a ceramic heat emitter so his tank stays warm and dark at night. He also has a 22” strip uvb t5 light that provides light to...
I have been surprised at how much he eats for such a little guy.
In the next week or two, I am planning on setting up a bio active tank for him. I have a kit coming from from bio dude.
