    As long as her skin isn't too dry here... I've kind of been worried about the folds of skin, but maybe that's normal for a juvenile as they grow? And no, she won't sit in the water at all, just avoids it, so I'll remove it.

    OK, cool, thanks for the input. Something else of note, I have never seen her drink from her water dish. I've always had to give her water through a dropper. Is this something that is normal or is there a way to train her to drink on her own?

    My beardie is about 4 months old now and I've helped shed her several times, including helping to pull out the skin from her nostrils. This time it's pretty stuck. Is this something I should wait out or have a vet assist?

    That's what I've been told. Likely I switch these bulbs out for 50W ones and achieve that without a problem. Big day today, finally let me hold him and aid in some shedding. Funny little squirt, he'll sleep on the top of the branch at night instead of the cave.

    So I think I've got it worked out. The dome light just wasn't putting out enough. I did some research on the small halogens and it seems they have right at a 45 degree coverage. I adjusted the bulbs so the coverage doesn't overlap and now the basking area is right at 105. Ambient temps are 86 on...

    It’s at the same height just a lit tle Here's where they are now. Like I said, I think these halogens are just really focused. Even a couple inches in any direction gives a huge difference.
