Where do I install the light 10.0 tube?

It comes with a plastic frosted cover, but I assume that is not good to keep on it, right?

Where do I install the light 10.0 tube?

If I install on the top like in picture 1, the dragon can get up to 16 inches from the light and no closer. :(

Where do I install the light 10.0 tube?

Do I install it up top of this tank or on the back wall like in the second picture? How close does it need to be to the dragon?

    DIY Enclosure from Projection TV

Of course not! I actually since got a second free TV given away on Craigslist to make another enclosure for our snake. Except this one stinks really bad like it's been a garage with rodents too long. So, I may not be able to get the stench to go away. I have had it sitting in the sun for several...

    DIY Enclosure from Projection TV

I know the top bunk is really tall. Any suggestions on how to install the lights into this tank? I have a 28 inch tube fixture and don't really have anything yet for my halogen floodlights. But I can assure you they don't need to be too close to be hot enough. Right now they are over a foot away...

    DIY Enclosure from Projection TV

We decided to take the freebie on the curb down the street from our house to make it into an enclosure. The sliding tracks should be in today, so we should be finishing it up this weekend. Although, I didn't get the plexi-glass cut to the right measurements, so now I'm not sure if I can cut it...

    Spikes Current Cage Pic's

Ours too is called Spike. My son named him. I knew it was a common name, but that's what he wanted to call him. Our other one is Toruk Makto

Why does he stick out his tongue

I asked clint at downunder dragonz where I bought him from and he said 3 months, although, I think he might be a little younger maybe. He is tiny, 7 1/2 inches. My other dragon is only one inch bigger, but looks so much bigger/broader than this guy and they told me he was 8 weeks old. Here are...

Why does he stick out his tongue

It is a 90 watt GE halogen floodlight bulb. They each have one. Actually yesterday I did move it back some and it went down to 108. I'm still playing with the lighting.

New owner of Two babies - Spike and ?

Yeah, at that moment when we put them in to meet, we did not know they were both males. We've checked, and we do believe from what pictures show us on the internet and looking at the bottom of their tales, that they are males. We decided last night to name the one on the left Toruk Makto...

Why does he stick out his tongue

Thanks to both, I do know the hand waving is submissive act, just didn't know who he was being submissive too. ;) I've read beardie's open their mouths, just hadn't read any sticking their tongue's out that way. All is good. Thanks.

Why does he stick out his tongue

Why does my beardie stick out his tongue a lot? Mostly when basking and pointing directly towards the light. At first I thought he was too hot, but I'm not sure anymore. He also does a lot of hand waving, but we do not know who he is waving to. The other beardie is in the next tank. Maybe he...

New owner of Two babies - Spike and ?

We haven't yet found the perfect name for the second one. They are in two different tanks and eating great. Too bad we found out last night we have two males. It would have been nice to breed them. They have beautiful colors. One is a Red and the other is a Translucent. Here's a picture of when...
