I was worried about my 7 month old who suddenly just started eating only a couple of bugs here and there in late December. He started when I went away for the week and initially I thought he was just being fussy because my neighbour was feeding him instead of me. He was the same after I got home...
Hi,
My juvenile will soon be too big for his basking area which is a cave that he sits on top of.
I have been looking for a bigger cave to replace it, however I can only seem to find the size that I’m looking for in slate. Is slate ok, or does it get too hot for their bellies? I’m sure I’ve...
Hi Tracie,
I was using plain calcium for the first few weeks, however after reading on here that they need it with D3 I ordered some of the Rep-Cal Calcium and Herptivite. I had them imported from the states as the only multivitamins I could seem to find here in the UK had Vitamin A in rather...
Hi,
My beardie is 5 months and 3 weeks old. I’ve had him since he was 12 weeks and weighed and measured him today for the first time. He’s 12.6 inches long and weighs 113g. Is that ok?
Hi,
I have a 5.5 month old who I had thought was starting to get a little lump across the base of the tail so we went with calling her a girl. Today, I’m now thinking we might be seeing boy parts… Is it still too early to know for sure? Pictures attached x
Food wise, she eats mostly Dubias with a couple of silk & calci worms. She also has some wax worms here and there.
She won’t eat veg so I supplement her bugs with herpivite x2 days a week.
Decor piece from UVB is 11” And directly under it.
Hi Sadie,
I recently changed my 5 month old over from plain calcium to calcium with d3, however this is now giving her a runny tummy. When I don’t give it for a day, her poo is fine the next day, but when I give it, it turns runny again. I can’t see that it’s anything other than this because...
She had it off herself very quickly. Was so hard not to help her but I didn’t want to risk hurting/damaging her. I gave her a quick bath after and she’s been in a brilliant mood since, running around investigating everything and coming up to the glass watching me work (she’s never don’t that...
It is literally don’t blink!!! She stayed like that for a few days including this morning when she woke up. Looked again about an hour later and she was like this!
Hi, my beardie seemed to be shedding a few days ago, but it looks like it’s stopped now….. Is it normal to look like it’s going backwards? I know that’s not possible, but instead of lifting, her shed looks like it’s blending back in again? I didn’t see this happen with her tail or legs…...
So for now, do I use the calcium with D3 five days a week? Or just three days a week and plain calcium for the other two days?
She refuses all salad no matter what I do, so gut feeding is the only way at the moment to get any in her. I continue to offer some in the morning before she has her...
