Wet/Greenish Feces

Hey everybody my young beardie has had some really stinky poops lately. I feed him collards, and lately some green peppers for hydration. I occasionally dust crickets, but it somehow kills most of them (suffocation) and greens have a lot of calcium, so I usually don't bother. Could low calcium intake be a problem?}

hey Charlie - feed the greens. there are more nutrients in greens than just calcium. what are you dusting the crickets with? how old is your kid? it looks as if his stool is firm (the brown) but that the urates (the white part) (basically urine) are runny. because these are desert animals, they retain most water so do not urinate as we would typically define it - they just excrete the white urates. the actual stool does not look runny. he may be just well hydrated. sometimes food will affect the odor (ever eaten too much asparagus?) sometimes there are other problems. when I got my girl, her poo would clear a room. it's not so bad now. my boys' will sometimes stink and sometimes not. switch up the collards. mix in other greens, too - take a look at the links below for some suggestions. a variety of food sources provides a variety of nutrients

When you dust your feeders, you do just that, dust. Don't put so much on that your feeders are completely white and they won't die so fast.
